01
Context
The university welcomes a growing number of students in its science and engineering programs, while lab capacity and equipment budgets remain limited.
02
Challenge
Several cohorts could complete only a fraction of the lab work in the curriculum. Irregular Internet connectivity on campus made it difficult to use learning platforms hosted abroad.
03
Solution
KaySolutions developed a series of virtual labs in chemistry, physics and electrical engineering, usable in virtual reality and on a computer. Each lab reproduces the experiments of the official curriculum, with immediate feedback on mistakes.
A locally hosted learning platform, designed to work with limited bandwidth, centralizes courses, assessments and results. Faculty were trained to create their own activities.
04
Results
- 6,000students with access to lab work
- 14virtual labs deployed
- ×3lab sessions per student per term
- −60%lab consumables
The university has integrated the virtual labs into its programs and now shares its content with other institutions in the country.
