01
Context
The distributor operates a vast distribution network and must train hundreds of technicians every year across several regions. Work on power lines and substations is among the most dangerous activities in the company.
02
Challenge
Hands-on training required real installations, which meant planned outages, costly travel and a limited number of sessions. Error situations that cause accidents could not be reproduced safely.
Skills assessment varied from one training centre to another, for lack of common criteria.
03
Solution
KaySolutions modelled the network's reference equipment — substations, transformers, overhead lines — and scripted lockout, voltage verification and intervention procedures with the distributor's experts.
The modules, deployed on KAYVR with Meta Quest headsets that work offline, include a standardized exam mode. Results are synchronized to the central console as soon as a connection is available.

- 1,200technicians trained in the first year
- −35%hands-on training time
- +27 ptspass rate on field assessments

The distributor now has a common skills framework across all its regions and plans to extend the program to subcontractors.
